Editorial Policy

How a page on this site gets written, and what we refuse to put on one.

Where our facts come from

Product facts come from the seller’s own published page and product label: ingredients, format, package prices, guarantee terms and who processes the payment. We record the date we read the page, and it appears on the page, because funnel prices change without notice.

What we do not have

We do not run laboratory tests, we do not have access to batch certificates, and we do not survey buyers. Where a fact would need one of those, we say we could not verify it rather than guess.

Ratings and reviews

We do not publish star ratings, review counts or testimonials. We have no verified purchase data to base them on, and inventing them is the single most common lie in this category.

Health claims

We report what a seller claims, attributed to the seller. We do not repeat a health claim as if it were established fact, and we flag claims that are marketing language rather than authorised claims.
